My research space has been flooded by “water” from the restrooms and water from an overflowing sink in a research lab has fallen from the ceiling in my office, but maggots sound even worse!

My research space has been flooded by “water” from the restrooms and water from an overflowing sink in a research lab has fallen from the ceiling in my office, but maggots sound even worse!
These numbers are consistent with the % of students in my general ed. science classes at a CSU school that struggled with fractions.

To illustrate this complexity, here is a figure from Nishikawa et al. (2023) with the recent M6.8 earthquake added as a yellow star. This event is located just North of the Tohoku-Oki rupture and possibly within the 1992 ultraslow Sabrina-Oki earthquake. ⚒️🧪
