Get on with it
$3 m cap still applies (30% tax over $3 m balances instead of standard 15%) - but will be indexed with inflation; lines up with other super caps (eg contribution caps etc).
$10 m (indexed) cap is new - 40% on earnings above that.
All in all, a decent compromise

Who'd have thought the relentless 50-year class war on the working class from Reagan on would provide the perfect breeding ground for authortirian rule

Indeed. Better late than never. Also, shout-out to South Australia - grid currently >70% solar/wind, on track for net >100% by 2027

Sacre bleu!

(Spare a thought for my native Australia - mind, had a 'conservative' anti-EV government for a decade up to 2022, so bit of catching up to do)

Australia doesn't have an auto industry. But the country's broadly on track for 82% RE by 2030.
And it's one of the best-placed countries to reap the opportunities of decarbonisation

Speaking of informalities, any idea what these apparent 'blank' boxes were in the Senate ballot? (Kooyong electorate, Vic) Know what happens if that's checked with an otherwise 'valid' selection?

This is total profit from all activities, not AI, right?
I note standalone AI companies seem to be in the red, eg Open AI lost ~$5 b last year

Both redistributed, in fact. Kooyong in Libs' favour, Goldstein in Indie's favour (though Wilson benefits in Goldstein due to his prominent support of Israel, specifically)

Vs Newspoll's final 2019 poll: 51.5-48.5 ALP. Election result: 51.5-48.5 LNP.

Very different Lower House position though:

- 2019: LNP 76 (gains 1 to 77); ALP 69 (loses 1 to 68); minors/indies 5 (gains 1 to 6)
- 2025: LNP 58; ALP 77; minors/indies 19
