Another quick paint job last night. Mini by Beastarium. I used to do a lot of slap chop. Especially for quick paints. I’m trying something new to me. Prime black. Build up in brown and tan instead of grey and white. Then do base and glazing. Plus inks. Etc. the new thing is building up the browns

I love this new piece by @fluffydumplin.bsky.social for our indie TTRPG 'Of Hearth & the Harrowing'! Its flow across the page feels very dynamic. The stance of the arcanist leaning back and sideways to the target really gives the character a dynamic feel.

It’s been many, many weeks, but finally got to playtest my indie TTRPG ‘Of Hearth & the Harrowing’ for the first time in a really long time. It was so much fun and also really juiced my love of this game and its potential! Great time with great friends. Can’t wait to get back to editing and layout.

Was taking trash out. When I went by the pool saw this little guy clinging to the side of the bench. Fished him out, stuck him in a box and drove down to the neighborhood retention pond to free him. There I met this lovely couple and the larger turtle they were rehoming from their pool. Too funny.

I got bored of Kanban statuses like 'To Do', 'On Hold', 'In Progress' and 'Done' so I changed my Trello list for my indie ttrpg project to 'Quest Board', 'Imprisoned', 'Journeying', and 'Quest Turned In'. It's goofy and I usually sneer at gamification of things, but this one makes me happy.

Happy Saturday. Already up working on cleaning the pool (more, its been a long process due to rampant algae bloom I did not get ahead of in time). Anyways, I'm gonna sit down and work a little bit on "In the Shadow of the Southwall", my region supplement I've started crafting for my indie ttrpg.

We call Boo a meerkat because she does this all the time. Stands up and chirps at you to try and get you to pick her up. What’s funny is she then plants her forepaws on your chest and pushes out as far as she can. She doesn’t want down but does not want to be against you. She is a weird little cat.

Wyrmspan for Father’s Day. I’ve not played Wingspan but I really like this one. But as a fantasy geek of course I do. You get to collect dragons! While playing I think to myself this needs an RPG where you get to be a dragonologist. Of course I thought that. Being a designer is a curse sometimes. :P

Think Shadowdark or Dragonbane and Pendragon had an illegitimate baby set in the era of Solomon Kane then add in village crafting & base building.

The party would not have survived this one, but luckily a hag seeking revenge on them felt they had better uses than dragonfood. Lest you think me too nice. They all self stabilized through death saves. I did not patch them up or save any of them. #dnd
