As someone who has run a black queer Mastodon server since 2023, yes to this. Most users on the fediverse are hostile to us. There are a few people who are committed to doing the work as there are on Bluesky, but the difference is we never reached a critical mass of Black users. This was by design.
I could be nice about all this but at this point all i’ve got to say is just do some fucking reading (or use google, such as it is) and spare us all your bullshit.
