I might share more photos from when I lived there. I shot exclusively in B&W with my Canon AE-1 and a 50 mm lens, mostly on Kodak T-Max 400.

Here’s probably the finally finished version, ready to share - Sound Index: a macOS desktop application that scans DAW projects (Ableton), extracts sample references, builds a searchable database, and enables Finder comments.

It should be sufficiently functional.

I’m building a Python app for this.

It currently eats Ableton project files, finds them in folders, and maintains a database where sounds can be filtered and comments added for quick viewing in Finder.

I have collected the ‘ghosts’ of night-spiders. As they move toward adulthood, they leave behind a subtle biomechanical apparatus devoid of vitality.

The final shot of today’s spectacle, just seconds before the ray of light vanished. If #photography has taught me anything, it’s this: take the photo when you feel it, or when the light is right. Later it’s easier to decide whether it was worth it.

Hurricane Erin passed 300–400 km offshore, leaving a restless sky in its wake. Just before 6 a.m. the clouds tore open for a few fleeting minutes. When the light comes right, there’s no time to waste.
