64yo CDN here. Never once in my life have I thought about this for me or for the 2 generations that followed me. I do worry about the US attacking my country now and killing my family for no reason other than greed. I also think about US mass shooting survivors. I also no longer travel to the US.

Even China doesn’t go this. Travelled there and many in our group wiped there phones. Plus we needed a special VPN to access many social media sites. Definitely not going back to the US.

From what I've seen, they don't ask. ICE chases, grabs, beats, molests, shackles and then disappears people. I'm not sure where in that process one "asks" anything.
