Cats, politics, long walks in the country. Education, social policy. Woke before it was a problem and currently mystified by government’s lack of courage on EU and other policies including foreign policy.
Lynch mob mentality

In all the BBC reporting of Gibb no mention of his GB News role. The debate re his political influence was purely centred round his advisory role to May, but surely his GBNews connection is much more indicative of his standpoint.

They have been empowered by rw press and agitators to say the quiet part out loud. As if it is an inarguable truth. The Overton Window is half way down the street.

Tbf the benefit attacks will also start again in the budget, there is still hatred for UK vulnerable. There is no winning with a world where ‘asylum seeker’ is seen as a pejorative - equating to fighting age man. There little compassion left in this country.

Some real anomalies/injustices. Definitely discriminatory, no adjustment for part time/child caring and with main earner getting early settlement, and impacting single, caring or disabled workers. Increasing settlement to 15 years for level 3 impacts swathes of roles in tech and business.

The problem is not that people don’t believe asylum seekers are at risk, it’s that they don’t care. ‘Not our problem’. It is like society can only have compassion for immediate family, nothing for anyone else, whether seeking asylum, disabled, homeless etc. It’s worrying where this could lead.

Horrific agenda driven discrimination. Creating a problem where none exists. For generations trans have used facilities based on their identity. Never a grass roots demand and had hoped the ideological Chair leaving would have led to a better outcome. The whole judgement needs to be challenged.

This is where the University Free Speech legislation has got us.

So powerful. Written by an Israeli, but the word can still not be said on UK TV without other siding, or accusations of anti-semitism.

Reminds me of Nazi Germany. Agree, all policies awful but this is chilling.

Even successful claimants become homeless as soon as little support. She probably wants them to leave too.

And she’s been wafted as a future leader. Of reform maybe.

I think this is the wedge to open door to end of ILR for all. Already proposals to stretch to 10 years, I can see it being removed full stop. Just awful. Playing to worst audience.
