Well that’s one way to fix our gerontocracy

I get pissed when I go to children’s bookstores. All of the new children’s books are just about navel gazing stuff adult millennials learned in therapy. Kids don’t want to read about having self-esteem. My kid wants stories about witches and skeletons and worms. Is that too much to ask for?

My two year old is a very adventurous and enthusiastic eater. I made a kale lentil salad yesterday and I told him it had feta and olives and he acted like I’d said gumdrops and sprinkles?? He ate it up!

I’ve started signing my name bigger on paintings, not only because I think it’s something that woman painters should do, but also because I like the look of text. I would like to come up with some more creative ways to do it, hopefully to integrate it into the image in a way that would confuse AI.

Measles high infection rate is the reason we have not yet been able to eradicate it. That rate means you need a very high vaccination rate to prevent outbreaks. It is possible, but not with current levels of institutional distrust.
The average person with the flu gives it to around 1.4 people. The average person with measles gives it to between 12 and 18 people.

The other day I went to wake up my almost 2 year old and I was wearing a softball sweatshirt that had cartoon flames on it and the first thing he said to me was “oof! Careful! Burn yourself!”
