Agree wholeheartedly. I see where some of the cynicism comes from but that is almost always balanced out with the dork energy you describe

It really felt like they would.....didn't it? I don't normally care for stories in the Metroid games too much but the fact it felt like a bit of a promise in the marketing made me come up feeling really short changed. Lucky I loved the game behind it though.
