Yeah, I still use it out of habit, but Google is definitely not the same. 🫤

😆 Exactly! One of my characters uses "The Google" unironically because it fit their character (fish out of time situation and didn't know differently), but yeah, none of characters would ever think of capital-i internet. (Yet even now, Google's autocorrect is trying to capitalize it on this post. 🙄)

"Alley royalty" 🤣

Yep, very accurate!

Yes! I think I did a blog post long ago about coming up with my own house style. For me, one was *not* capitalizing internet because the capital version just looks and feels stupid to me. 😂

😂 Mental applause totally counts. Please don't upset the puppies. ❤️

And thanks for the compassion! I was 5 minutes late to an appt bc I had to brush my teeth a second time after my migraine triggered a wave of severe nausea. But it was one of those days where I just had to keep going anyway. 🤷‍♀️

Yep, it definitely was quite the Monday. 😬

I had a migraine from hell, but going into Thanksgiving week, I still had to do everything on my to-do list because there was no wiggle room in my schedule. I survived the day... Please clap. 😆

Hope you survived too! ❤️

I refused -- especially as C. Diff. is notorious for lifelong recurrence.

But I'd noticed that my symptoms were less bad when I took some essential oils mixed with coconut oil. So I took more coconut oil. The C. Diff. cleared up in days.

I've never seen any medical support for that use, but... 🤷‍♀️

A couple of years ago, I was suffering from C. diff. for months. Couldn't eat a thing without it turning toxic in my digestive system.

Dr wanted to put me on heavy-duty antibiotics that he knew wouldn't work, 'cuz "standard of care."

Yes! Here's hoping we *can* access our TBR after we're dead. ❤️

I'd hate for all those books to languish unread. 😆 And that does make the afterlife sound more appealing too!
November 21, 2025 at 9:59 AM
Yes! I remember that one. 😁❤️
November 19, 2025 at 9:13 AM
Yep! I have trunked short story based on idea I got from email spam. The ideas are everywhere, and yes, I too will die with story ideas unwritten. 🤷‍♀️

Happy belated birthday! Hope you managed to have a good day despite all those meetings. 🎂

Yep, as I was reading this thread, I had the same thought. She's not wishy-washy about issues.

When she can see the bottom of the bowl through the pieces, she wants me to gather them in a pile in the middle of the bowl (and no, not because of any whisker irritation). She just wants them agitated, or as you said, reinvigorating the scent.
November 3, 2025 at 9:21 AM
Yeah, our usual is 800-1000 kids. So this was a lot even for our neighborhood. 😆
November 2, 2025 at 12:28 AM
We have the perfect weather to do it outside too, which helps. I just set up a table in the front yard.
November 1, 2025 at 11:09 AM
Yeah, I set things up a specific way to make it less intense, and our dog stays with me the whole time (mostly because she loves all the attention, but the emotional support is nice too) b/c yes, it's definitely draining to this uber-introvert. But I love it too much to complain abt that aspect. 😆

Oh, and we got an Amazon delivery in the middle of the crush, and the poor woman had to wait in line with the kids, holding the stack of boxes, because the walkway was stuffed all the way to the street. I told her to grab a handful of candy. 😆

(She *was* in costume, er, a uniform. 😉)

Sounds like our neighborhood! It turns into a block party open to all.

One neighbor does a petting zoo in their driveway, another does a haunted carnival, etc.

We got 1500 kids this year, as we had perfect weather. We love it, and everyone who wants candy gets candy. 😍

Love your fidget toy idea though -- those are fantastic! 😍
November 1, 2025 at 10:24 AM
We got 1500 kids. Not a typo. 😆

We've been getting 800-1000 most years, but between it being a Friday and the fact that a local magazine mentioned us as a good place to T-or-T... Yeah, we got a lot. It turns into a big block party. 😁

One neighbor bought 17 Costco bags of candy. 17! 😮

Sending you lots of love and hugs! And crossing my fingers for the treatment. ❤️
