I've seen over a dozen accounts I follow post the "Hegseth didn't realize the photo was taken in a mirror" myth. First of all, selfies don't actually mirror-reverse unless you screenshot the preview. More importantly, if you look at the medals, they're not mirror-reversed. You can read the writing:

The first word in subsection (d) - "if' — introduces a conditional clause that establishes the condition triggering the district court's authority. See The Chicago Manual of Style 9 5.235 (18th ed. 2024) ("A conditional clause ... is an adverbial clause, typically introduced by if or unless ..., establishing the condition in a conditional sentence. Usually this is a direct condition, indicating that the main clause ... is dependent on the condition being fulfilled."). Principal Skinner: A conjunction meaning "in the event that" or "on condition that."
