Absolutely. Here’s a bio which balances audacity with polish, while covering up the weak points and anxieties you mentioned. You can paste it directly into Bluesky, or let me know if you’d like edits or changes:
My background blends high-stakes strategy,
Left-wing NIMBYism is the most depressing NIMBYism. After guns and drugs, housing is the #3 most tightly regulated market in Australia. To look at the current pile of policy failures and blame “the free market” takes a huge amount of motivated self-delusion

Just realised how unsafe this worksite is. What the hell are these dudes doing!? They could just fall out that door at any time

Novels used to get dinged from the Miles Franklin for not being Australian enough. This one’s about Australia/China, but mainly China viewed from Australia, and being a #BadChinese, so I’m glad it worked out. Also I really dig the Joan’s Book Club design ethos of the post-award reprint cover.

It’s a jokey tongue-in-cheek bit of metafiction which feels extremely 90s (complimentary). The modern journey into fake/real China is intercut with tall tales and ironical vignettes from the Jin Dynasty, which was an embarrassing historical cul de sac for the main arc of Chinese civilisation

This is really good. If it was up to me, I’d give it one (1) Miles Franklin Award

These two things are opposite and contradictory goals. You cannot have both, you must pick one! Implying that you can have both of them isn’t seriousness and Serious Reform Agenda, it’s just stupid!

The way millennial parents involve their kids in the workplace is so wholesome

Those two events were huge demand shocks; the Trump tariffs are a negative supply shock, which would call for an emergency rate _rise_, no? (Assuming that the Fed board keeps doing their job and don’t get fired or DOGEd or whatever.)

I’m genuinely confused about what Dutton thinks “tardy” means 🤔

Ah! They mean “aesthetic” as a keyword for “like something you’d see on instagram”. A version of Rule 34: “there is a blonde-wood soft focus furniture/tchotchke Pinterest mood board of it. No exceptions.”

I tried that trend of asking ChatGPT-4o to redo a photograph of me in Studio Ghibli style, and I’m honestly impressed, it nailed it
