I bought this bike 28 years ago. On this bike I have traveled the streets of Nashville, the roads of Georgia, and points beyond. The frame, stem, and cranks are original. Everything else has been replaced or modified.

When I was 17, I protested the Vietnam war, racism, the inequities of our society. Now I am 68, as young as I was then, yet wiser and still dedicated to the belief that we will overcome our failings as a society and become a nation as one, as it was intended to be. Get out your pitchforks. Resist.

My grandfather was many things in his life. He was a builder, a printer, a union man, a union leader, and most importantly, a family man. He loved his grandchildren. He despised Richard Nixon. Here is his ode to this wonderful day.
