i was surprised when they cut the tennis channel feed from the ceremony to the musetti/djokovic match but assumed it was just day to day misogyny. but i wonder if it was more about this controversy! (which is also about misogyny, but a different strain…)

it’s an environment where they can make him look far more cogent than he actually is, which will be more important as he continues to decline. he’s increasingly a liability, possibly to the point he won’t do unscripted/live appearances. my guess is they are trying to normalizing it now

interesting—thanks for the writeup! he seems like a good guy and the highlights i've watched have been some fun tennis. hope he sticks around the main tour for a while

a few comments later she told me santa was going to treat me badly if i didn't watch out and i wrote up a post that said "santa isn't real and god is dead" but my last remaining brain cell advised against it

actually now that i'm thinking about it, we never found it on the hike when we got turned around looking for it lol. i did see it later on a washtenaw bird and natural alliance walk with @christebbens.bsky.social though

cherry hill preserve is great, as is lefurge woods and the other superior township conservancy properties. i also like park lyndon south, which has cool hilly terrain/interesting glacial topography (something about kettles and a moraine maybe??). stinchfield woods is also huge and awesome
