Possibly fair, yep. Some promising signs but I’d say Labour yet to push things on in the way GDS did.

I also look at what we could do about this. Modernising legacy discplines, giving parity of status and airtime to contemporary disciplines, and running some radical experiments that turn the whole operation upside down - seeing what it would be like to put modern methods in charge. 4/n

I paint portraits of these disicplines to see if this helps us understand the mess we're in. From the outmoded 'media grid' of comms to the plodding and mechanistic mental models of political strategy, these old ways of thinking stop government from moving with agility and confidence. 3/n
