If anyone who follows me REALLY loves my characters that much, you'll be happy to know I'm not abandoning them completely, and I might draw a character from the blog randomly if the mood takes me or I get a really good idea - it's just they won't be my main focus anymore while I work on other stuff.

I have been drawing them since 2007 and I just feel I'm going through the motions and my art isn't as interesting as it once was - especially since I've really enjoyed making fanart for friends this year.
So short term, I'm looking for smaller projects to work on, to rekindle my love for art 😺

I actually got a Firefox add-on that blocks YT recommendations because it kept forcing clickbait and RW political vids on me and I was sick of seeing them in my peripheral vision. Truthfully I only open YT when I know exactly what I want to watch but a blocker's probably not viable for everyone.

My blog was always intended for personal art of my own characters, so it doesn't feel right putting art I've made for other folks there. Originally Pillowfort was where I dumped my kink stuff but I've been neglecting it as of late - a fanart repository could be a good use for it 😸

I might just be getting more "PC" as I get older, because I used to love both SP (and Family Guy) as a(n edgy) teenager, but now I feel like there's too many jokes/ episodes where they punch down for the sake of a cheap gag or strawman argument and it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Confession time, but since I drew myself (as a cat-man) yesterday I've started having funny thoughts featuring myself (as a cat-man)... it's a new experience for me, though it's probably nothing for many of my friends who have fursonas and the like.
