One benefit (?!!?) of the war on science is there's been fewer IACUC protocols for our committee to review.

I used to live in an apt right across the street from this place in grad school. Every morning I'd chat with the guys working there as I walked my dog. They were hard working, honest dudes working there then, and I'm sure just like those detained. This kind of shit is as UNAMERICAN as it comes.
“Three days after immigration agents raided an Allston car wash, the lawyer representing the nine workers who were detained says he still has not been able to contact some of his clients — or even confirm where they are being held.”

In a group chat with HS pals, we were talking about Mikie Sherrill being in the class ahead of us. Most were like "cool", "awesome" and then a Trumpy friend weighed in that they "could care less" about last night's results in general. There's just so much privilege in that sentiment. It's fucked up.

First I've seen Bradshaw on TV in a while, and he needs to retire. He's always sounded confused and doltish, but now he sounds ancient and confused and doltish.

Love this.
To those in the streets:
Your footsteps are not requests—
they’re demands carved into pavement.
You do not whisper—you roar
for the silenced, the stolen, the ignored.
No kings, no crowns—
only the fury of people done kneeling.
Let the ground remember every step
and let power tremble at your march.

I'm sure this is all fine. Certainly seems like a well thought out project and a trustworthy company.
Nevada regulators have accused Elon Musk’s Boring Co. of nearly 800 environmental violations in the last two years as it digs a sprawling tunnel network beneath Las Vegas for its Tesla-powered “people mover.”

Was deeply traumatized today when a millennial prof, in front of their grad students!, asked what was my favorite album. I'm Gen X and this question is problematic.
1) Too broad, need genre or something - too many favs
2) Too old to remember album names
3) The Gen X need to be cool runs deep
