I used to live in an apt right across the street from this place in grad school. Every morning I'd chat with the guys working there as I walked my dog. They were hard working, honest dudes working there then, and I'm sure just like those detained. This kind of shit is as UNAMERICAN as it comes.

In a group chat with HS pals, we were talking about Mikie Sherrill being in the class ahead of us. Most were like "cool", "awesome" and then a Trumpy friend weighed in that they "could care less" about last night's results in general. There's just so much privilege in that sentiment. It's fucked up.

Was deeply traumatized today when a millennial prof, in front of their grad students!, asked what was my favorite album. I'm Gen X and this question is problematic.
1) Too broad, need genre or something - too many favs
2) Too old to remember album names
3) The Gen X need to be cool runs deep
