Very occasionally I have the inverse, where I am convinced the code is incorrect/poor but it has actually 'thought' about the problem one level ahead of me

Not unfounded I don't think - unfortunately just trying to make the best of a slightly unfortunate situation

I use Ungoogled Chromium which works well for me

Not necessarily ignore, but certainly could make a GitHub Action check that fails if the README has been manually edited
