Cycling commentators when a race is passing through WW1/WW2 locations putting on their sombre tone. Give me a break! “A reminder of humanity’s failings.” We see dismembered children every single day, this very day, and you’re talking about something that happened 80 years ago as a reminder?

In-vehicle infotainment systems impair reaction times behind the wheel more than alcohol and narcotics use. Reaction times were nearly five times worse than when a driver was at the drink-drive limit, and nearly three times worse than when high on cannabis.

@oxfordclarion.bsky.social any chance you can report on yesterday’s council motion to Divest from companies complicit in Israel’s genocide. I notice it has been missed.

Duke Humfrey's name had been erased from the final page of text, but was revealed using ultraviolet light. The Clarion has previously reported on an Oxford academic using digital image processing to recover Tennyson's handwriting:

An Oxford English lecturer has used multispectral imaging to recover lost lines of Tennyson's poetry. Dr Michael J Sullivan leads a project to photograph manuscripts at wavelengths from infrared to ultraviolet, allowing researchers to read damaged or crossed out text. www.ox.ac.uk/news/2025-03...
