6. Set up man. Dennis Schröder is one of the streakiest shooters in recent Kings memory. After a great shooting night in Denver, he struggled to score 6 points on 2-of-8 shooting. With the shot not falling, Schröder set up his teammates, posting a team-high 9 assists.

5. Another quiet night. Zach LaVine averaged 29.5 points per game over the Kings' first 6 games. Since then, it's been a rollercoaster ride. Coming into Monday, LaVine was averaging 16 points over his last 9 games and posted just 7 against Minny.

4. Earning more minutes. Precious Achiuwa continues to fight for his spot in the rotation. He brings energy and toughness, even against bigger players. Achiuwa finished the game with 10 points, 7 rebounds and a block in 34 minutes.

3. Third quarter firepower. DeMar DeRozan put up 9 points in the first half, but when he came out in the second half, he was looking to score. The 36-year-old even threw down a dunk in transition on his way to 33 points on 9-of-16 shooting and a perfect 15-for-15 from the line.

2. The Flying Monk. It took a while for him to arrive, but Malik Monk was fearless attacking the rim against one of the great shot blockers in NBA history. Monk posted 22 points on 9-of-18 shooting and got the crowd involved. His late save out of bounds was wild.

1. Is Keegan Murray taking a leap? In his third game of the season, Murray aggressively attacked a big T-Wolves front line, coming away with 26 points to go with a career-best 15 rebounds. He's also the Kings best defender and it's not even close.

6. Baptism by fire. Maxime Raynaud drew the short straw and had to defend both Nikola Jokic and Jonas Valanciunas. The rookie held his own, posting 6 points, 3 rebounds and a steal off the bench. Precious Achiuwa deserves an honorable mention for his play as well.

5. LaVine and Monk. Neither of the Kings' shooting guard had huge offensive game, but it was a balanced scoring night across the board. LaVine scored 15 points on 6-of-14 shooting. Monk added 12 points on 5-of-14 shooting and 3 assists.

4. He's alive! After scoring just 7 points on 3 shot attempts in the loss to Memphis, DeMar DeRozan looked more like himself in this game. He dropped 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. DeRozan was active on the defensive end and made the extra pass.

3. So active. It isn't always perfect, but Russell Westbrook gives 100% every time he steps on the floor. Against his former team, the 18-year veteran stuffed the stat sheet with 21 points, 11 assists and 6 rebounds. He also cleaned up the turnover issue.

2. Streaky. Dennis Schröder is on one night and off the next. After shooting 0-for-8 against the Grizzlies on Wednesday, the veteran bounced back for 21 points on 6-for-8 shooting to go with 7 assists. He needs to smooth out the shooting highs and lows.

1. More, more, more. Keegan Murray is working his way back from an extended injury, but he's starting to show some new looks. The pathway forward for Sacramento is Murray. He finished with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and a block.

6. Are you a hostage or a volunteer? That is a question general manager Scott Perry asked this summer. Clearly there are hostages on this roster and they need to go. At 3-13, there is no reason to further assess this roster. It is broken and needs to be reset.
