There’s an established system for deciding who it is safe to release while they await trial. Retired librarians (e.g) with no previous convictions arrested for holding a sign are probably safe to let go.

Ukraine weren’t even involved in producing the 28 point plan. It was just Russia and US. That plan has now been dumped because it was pro-Russia. Putin will tell Trump he doesn’t want the new plan, and the war will go on. Just as Putin wants. Under Trump, the US will never support Ukraine.
