If you ever want the opposite (to be aroused by coffee without drinking it), try Kopiko candies. I can't stop eating whole bags of them.

Yeah, it's one of the only bagged salty snacks that I can't finish off in one sitting. It's a lot. I end up satisfying that craving with pretzels instead because I don't have the fortitude for a bag of sticks.

They're sooooo salty, though. More so than any other salty snack in the snack aisle.

I had a similar thing happen a lot when I worked in a commercial greenhouse

They've still got nothing on Canada's procurement incompetence :(

FYI, all of your photos in this thread are tagged as "Graphic Media" and need to be manually tapped/clicked. Don't know why.

Oh, I was only trying to draw a comparison with other kinds of addiction. I probably should have used gambling and overeating as comparisons since those are more similar.

There's already a lot of research on the harms being done to brains, especially of kids. The damage to society is only just emerging as we see the falling birth rate, increasing isolation, worsening mental health, etc. Gen Alpha is the first generation with no memory of a life before screens.

The problem is that almost everything accessible via phones is designed to pull us in deeper. Once you start giving apps more attention, it's neurologically hard to go back, and it only gets worse over time. People scroll on their phones in nature for the same reason smokers light a cig in nature.

Epson ET-8550
But I haven't actually set it up yet, so I can't offer any kind of review. I bought it because it's an ecotank model so I will save a lot on ink compared to cartridge ink. It prints up to 13"x19" though my prints for physical storage won't be that big.

Only once before, but I just bought a photo printer and I'm going to spend the winter printing hundreds of my own photos for the sake of physical storage more than anything else

I signed up for both Criterion and Mubi recently. Both seem like great value. I watched The Substance on Mubi last night and Escape from New York on Criterion today.
