Fort Worth & New Orleans
20 years ago today I woke up on a couch in Houston after evacuating hurricane Katrina. Images of those days are seared into my memory.

So it's quite the privilege to be driving back to New Orleans today for a fun weekend.

@hankgreen.bsky.social During COVID, for laundry, switched to 7th Gen gel concentrate to Blueland tabs to powdered Green Llama. Then switched from pressed dishwasher tabs (thanks to @techconnectify.bsky.social youtu.be/_rBO8neWw04?...) to 7th Gen powder. PVA is in sheets/tabs. Powders only, plz.

Not sure why @jessicadamiano.bsky.social is specifically advocating for invasive non-native ground cover like Kentucky bluegrass? Stick to natives. And less grass, more plants. Check out @highcountrygardens.bsky.social or @americanmeadows.bsky.social for better options.

Glad to see my gut was on target for the last year.
#nola Hoping we can keep the trend going down. Need to encourage investment in the city, and the best way is less crime. Crossing my fingers the DA can keep up.

The mood hung heavy at the New Year's luncheon today. Never ceases to amaze me how close knit of a city #nola is. Everyone knows someone. It's reassuring to share that space together. Afterwards tried to go partake in the beautiful weather and a classic past time.

Been noticing the crime reduction since Chief Kirkpatrick took over. Coincidence or not, it's reassuring with all the other silliness in the city govt. But I appreciated her tenor and demeanor today the most. #nola #TexasTerrorist

@mikeisraetel.bsky.social totally agree with high protein junk food with decent calories in the future. Satisfies the crunchy salty need and not fat laden. But the right answer to the question is the Airline industry will benefit from societal weight loss.

As of today, all four FBS teams with "Owls" mascots have fired their coaches (Rice, Temple, Kennesaw State, FAU). Bad day to be an owl.
Fun fact: There are four teams in FBS called the "Owls." Three of them have fired their coaches (Rice, Temple, Kennesaw State).
