A woman discovered her dog had almost no brain after taking her to the vet for a seizure. This is Maggie. She had hydrocephalus, a fluid buildup in the brain cavity that filled 95% of her skull. Low sodium levels kept the disease at bay and allowed her to live to the ripe old age of 12. 13/10

This teenager saved his neighbor's dog from drowning in a freezing pond. This is Bernard. His family contacted emergency services right away, but high school senior Hugh Pinneo got to Bernard first. Hugh said he's "just glad I acted that day and saved the dog's life." We are too. 12/10 for all
