I suppose I should follow this up by saying that I'm not sure that's a bad thing, just that it doesn't seem to be "fair use" as I understand it.

I'm not convinced that "LLM training is always fair use", if this is the intended implication. E.g. if I create:

- A novel product that didn't exist before
- A product that's almost identical to something in the training data

The former looks like fair use but the latter looks like laundering?

Someone saw a promo for a TV channel and thought "..oh wow, that's exactly what we want for our new years celebrations"

Aico sell smoke alarms that can transmit reports to your phone by screaming like an old-school modem while their app is listening. Not only incredibly cool but essential since it will tell you why the alarm is chirping! Essential feature for me now.

I dunno if they sell them in the US.

How well does it work under nitrile gloves?

Aah, I would definitely use this. I sold all my smart speakers because they got more creepy and less useful but the primary use was asking them to set reminders.

Is it coming round though?

Great to hear that you're moving away from reliance on a single app repository 👍 support for multiple repositories was on my wishlist.

"At the high end of those guesses are analysts like F-Squared‘s Michael Futter, who expects a starting price of $799 to $899 for the entry-level 512GB Steam Machine and a whopping $1,000 to $1,100 for the 2TB version."

Honestly, that's my expectation as well - around the price of a similar spec PC.

Can you mix the two to make orange?

I noticed that too. Shame, but it'll just force me to branch out a bit, so - doors and windows and all that :)
