A fight where Batman battles a Godzilla sized Bane that starts off with Batman literally dropping a building on Bane and says "Welcome to Gotham" should read as parody but in Snyder and Dragotta's hands it's bad assed.

Some Frank fans might be feeling impatient to see him regain the upper hand in this story but it's clear that by the end of this mini, everyone involved will regret thinking that turning Castle into El Zombie was going to work out for them.

Wall to wall action and the Predators really come off as a credible threat to even heavy hitters like Thor and Hulk. It's almost too bad this isn't in continuity because it puts Kraven in a whole other league of villain, orchestrating the takedown of the Marvel U.

And thumbs up for Carmen Carnero on art. I'm sad that Exceptional X-Men is over but her art on that was such a big part of why it was great, so I'm happy that Marvel immediately put her on another big book. This is going to look amazing. Exciting times ahead for ol' Shellhead!

The main thing I want out of a new IM run is for it to be FUN, and I think Williamson can deliver that. I'm tired of Tony constantly being on his back feet, having to dig himself out of a hole. I want him to get his swagger back and be a bad ass. Fingers crossed that this will be that.
