As for 🇮🇱/🇵🇸: all analyzed AfD MPs, except one (unsurprisingly from the extreme wing), who came out “neutral”, were clearly “Israel-friendly” and strongly anti-Palestine.
Side note: this doesn’t mean they can’t still hold antisemitic attitudes, nor that antisemitism is absent within the AfD.

As for 🇷🇺/🇺🇦, all analyzed MPs are “Russia-friendly” (or leaning towards it). Extreme-wing MPs say it more openly, while “moderates” slightly soften the tone and initially condemn the 🇺🇦 invasion, but their overall positions don’t differ in substance, especially when war fatigue kicks in.

🔎 Main finding: Despite some rhetorical differences between the extreme and moderate wings, the party is largely united in its overall positions, also meaning there seem to be no powerful dissenting voices and no real moderation of positions within the AfD, as regards its foreign policy.

The “EU,” which really is not some monolithic bloc, is same as bad if not worse, at least definitely some countries. In Germany, per diems and lodging limits are either a joke or make no sense, in Italy you need to submit all paper receipts for everything just to wait months for getting reimbursed…
