Still a very mixed bag overall, but I am willing to say I actually enjoyed this season a lot. You also couldn’t pay me to watch The Rats: A Witcher Story, I’ve spent enough time with The Continents Most Insufferable Characters™️ thank you very much

Also #Spoiler and #TW but the series ends with a character miscarrying and I don’t feel like that’s given anywhere near enough weight for how a) significant that should be for the character and b) how triggering it could be for an audience. As a subplot it could be skipped in totality.

And #Spoilers I guess they recast Vesimir (to an actor I like I should say), but the original was *perfect* casting? And then they kill him off defending the Lodge - surely if you’re going to change the fate of the character like this, you’d have him die for Geralt, no?

Like if you’re going to try to base your universe on a medieval Europe, maybe have some in your writers room to stop you writing like a US high school drama.

There are still some issues though, and key among them is the dialogue. This is a universe designed to mirror a medieval period of society, originally written in Polish and presented elsewhere in more florid English. Here we have a lot of very contemporary casual *American* style banter. Stop it.
