Going to start writing the next issue of The OSINT Newsletter today.

Focus will be on bypassing Reddit APIs, sort of, for collection at scale.

I’ll also be teasing a bit of audio in preparation for the return of the podcast.

I added my stretch goal, web scraping.

When this tool goes live, there will also be an option to input a URL where the app will then scrape images from that page (if possible) for additional images.

I also added in an option to download all matching images at the end.
Face recognition investigation tool MVP is complete.

- Upload target images
- Upload images to compare against target images
- Adjust sensitivity
- See which photos match and at what confidence

I'll write about building this tool in this week's issue.

All of the tools I’m seeing to obscure your own images from face recognition scraping operations are either no longer work or are too complicated for most to use.

I’ll fix that next month.

The free portion of the OSINT newsletter is done. Working on the paid content today. Hopefully this will be an easy to use, useful face recognition tool you can use in your investigations.

The next #OSINT Newsletter comes out on December 19th.

This issue will dive into making a face recognition tool using free sources that works in your browser (not CLI).

We’ll take a look at limitations with a special look at the ongoing Luigi Mangione case.

BlueSky #OSINT Tool is almost done. I'm calling it BlueSkyNet. It'll have the following functionality:

- Unlimited top posts, latest posts, people, and feeds (feeds is 100)
- All advanced search options
- Export to CSV

If interested, help me test it at the-osint-newsletter.github.io/blueskynet/

- Larger limit search options
- Structured advanced search filters
- Full profiles and posts, including images
- CSV export (stretch)

By the way, I know there’s a BlueSky API. This is for demonstration purposes only 🤓
I’ll be working on adding my BlueSky OSINT tool to GitHub next week.

I’m going away from Python-based CLI tools and aiming to publish web apps hosted on GitHub pages to they’re more accessible to people from different skill levels.

I’ll post them here: github.com/The-OSINT-Ne...
