I work in a library and the number of college aged people who struggle with filling out a simple form is genuinely shocking.

Multiple times i have had people just put their house number, no street as their address.

Or they'll write just the name of their dorm but no room #.

This is not a "students today" post--it's more "this is a new form of dysfunction" that doesn't look exactly like it's been in previous decades. It's more than just "first-year chaos." It's an across-the-board inability to process instructions, engage with longer texts, and *connect* with others.

Emotions are running high quite a bit this time of year. A little consideration can go a long way.
