Hemione had gone down early to see if the latest potion had finished. It was extremely volatile and dangerous, but his witch had survived a war and a dark wizard. This was nothing.

But when he stepped into that room and saw her gilded and shining his heart stopped.

As had hers.

Those that had come before did not have his ingenuity, they didn’t have his drive, and they surely didn’t have the brightest witch of their age.

Together they would make history.

At least that was what he thought when he came into their workshop on that fateful morning.

I know right? I always thought them getting together felt so weird. Especially since he's so much younger.

They were both bathed in the ethereal blue light of the crystal and he watched as he mouth slowly dropped open.

With a smirk he reached forward with two fingers under her chin and closed it.

"Do you ever stop reading?"

"Only when there's something interesting to see."

He barked out a laugh. "I suggest you look up then."

She raised her eyes and it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.

Then she appeared out of the pack like a rose amongst thorns and he was lost. He just wanted her to accompany him, talk to him or even look at him. He would be satisfied with anything at this point.

Yet her attention was constantly caught by those ancient books she carried.

It's gotten so bad lately. I saw a post the other day which was like a diatribe about fanfic etiquette and it used a cut up piece of an artists work (which was against their policies) without even crediting them. I think the post was deleted but it should never have happened in the first place.
