I imagine if you don't have rent to pay, gas is a bit more doable. And I know some van-lifers work at the parks they're staying at, so you're walking to work most days, and need gas only when it's time to move on.

To be even more clear, screen reader tech uses tech to read the text on the computer screen out loud for someone who can't read the text themselves (sight-impaired, whatnot).

The software only reads actual text, not a picture of text.

That's why alt text is so important.

What, when they're in your mouth with power tools is not the time for a conversation?

(I love my hygienist, but when she's scrubbing my teeth is not the time for her to be asking what the youngest is up these days.)

Hanging in there, trying to keep my natural optimism going.

We will see what the future holds once we get there, and keep fighting to make things better.

That's my philosophy, more or less.

The Three Coins is a great piece of commentary on RPGs, how academic institutions understand RPGs, how a repressive state censors material, and more.

Plus you get to play characters playing characters in a RPG in a RPG.

So, just for clarity, is "leverage the rules fully" reskinning a class, making a new class, multiclassing, or something else?

Yep. I had some hesitations after the first playtest packets, but I think the final version will be solid, and I can only imagine that a built-to-spec system will allow them to have even more fun at the table.

TTRPGs even more.

Is the system investment issue seen in the D&D sphere so profound it affects even casual viewers?

Is "Doubles! Critical!" so vastly different than "Natural 20! Critical!" than folks will jump off the train?

"if they're not playing D&D, I'm not watching" and I don't get it.

First off, DH is their project and likely pushed up due to how WotC handled the OGL plus other issues.

Second, I'm in it for the goofballs and their stories. System is far down on the list.

I like 5e. I like D&D. But I like

Scanning through the replies, I'm surprised that "rules light" has so much traction, being so relative.

OSR seems more definitive ("D&D-adjacent, lighter framework), but terms are mostly jargon.

Useful as a short-hand in some cases, but I'd prefer folks to be excited about my ideas, not terms.

As someone whose current project started as a setting for the two most popular d20-based fantasy adventure TTRPGs, I feel seen.

As I started to build Ashen Frontiers, I was inspired by both systems, but also had my own ideas, thus BLEND20 was born.

Sure, it's like them. But it is also mine.
