I’m here because two people got together and made a decision that I had no say in. Sort of feels like having children is inherently selfish - but how else can it function? The shitty thing is that you’re left dealing with being in a place that sometimes you don’t want to be in.

Love the talk about being “American Values” back to the halftime show at the Super Bowl. Makes perfect sense. That sport (pro sports in general now) are all about exploitation by billionaires funneling huge money upwards and tossing aside the actual revenue makers in short order with no safety net.

It’s obviously no mystery people were bought and sold in this country (still are, just differently). But for some reason, I just watched a clip of Dr Henry Gates reading an “inventory” of property from 1859 and hearing names and $ amounts ascribed to his ancestors & whoah. Got me choked up. And sad
