But Mt. Vernon? If you walk through at dusk/night, that place is HOPPIN' with rats. And the thing about it is ... they are so completely and totally unbothered by people. And dogs.
I'm used to just walking and they run away, but they'll stop and watch me and the dog walk by, totally nonplussed.

The fact that I could be imprisoned for being gay in 3 of these countries and ostensibly be put to death in a 4th is ... um ... I guess I have a hard time referring to these countries as safe.
