Just hoping this becomes like Twitter in 2012
It also just sort of ignore the human will component of this… as though millions of people are just going to sit idly by as their jobs are eliminated (to say nothing of governments). And there is a wide range of outcomes between AI fails and completely and AI destroys society…

Loperfido is good and I don’t think it’s ridiculous to suggest that he can be much more valuable than Santander
February 11, 2026 at 12:24 AM
Don’t forget my guy Loperfido!
February 10, 2026 at 11:00 PM
My hottest Blue Jays take is that this Santander injury is going to lead to more Loperfido playing time, and he’s going to have a huge year.
February 10, 2026 at 10:40 PM
Big opportunity for Loperfido, it’s gonna happen for him this year
February 10, 2026 at 10:38 PM
Offering Kyle Tucker $350 mil just not enough for some people
February 10, 2026 at 10:36 PM
Bieber slowly ramping up does seem smart, especially given the starting depth they’ve got.

Hard to spin that news on Tony Taters positively though…
February 10, 2026 at 10:24 PM
I’m also not sure how much stock is worth putting into this given the Jays raked against top pitching all postseason…
February 10, 2026 at 9:16 PM
Gives him extra time to think about those brutal turnovers in the 4th last night!
February 5, 2026 at 5:39 PM
Yeah but it would have hinged on the Bulls wanting Ochai, Dick or Walter and I’d have to assume they were more interested in Dillingham
February 5, 2026 at 3:46 PM
Going at CMB after that 2nd brutal turnover is not a great look…
February 5, 2026 at 2:48 AM
Don’t even think it’s a hot take at this point, CMB is clearly thriving and getting those backup big minutes have been huge for his development. Shooting is a way bigger need than defence for this team.
February 5, 2026 at 1:38 AM
Probably worth the 2nd to get well under the tax with enough room to convert a 2 way or buyout guy, or potentially pursue another small trade.
February 4, 2026 at 9:11 PM
As a Raptors fan, for years there was no player I wanted them to get more than Giannis. Now I hope they stay away, and it has more to do with him seeming like a really annoying guy than anything else!
February 4, 2026 at 4:23 PM
Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I could see it working pretty well with Scottie and CMB. You’d need better shooting elsewhere though. Ultimately I agree I don’t think the Raptors should give up a 1st for him, but I also think the KANGZ dysfunction has people underrating him.
February 4, 2026 at 2:42 PM
I’ll do anything for a new Sportsnet broadcast pair next season. We’ve been tortured for too long.
February 4, 2026 at 11:33 AM
I don’t really want them to trade for Sabonis, let alone give up a 1st for him, but this also sort of reminds me of the Siakam trade where the whole league pretended a multiple time all star just wasn’t good because he’s on a bad team. Sabonis is obviously not perfect, but he’s good!
February 4, 2026 at 11:30 AM
I would give anything to have a different broadcast crew for these Sportsnet games next season
February 4, 2026 at 2:59 AM
It’s crazy to me how many people were fooled by the heater the Leafs were on even though it was pretty clearly fuelled by goaltending and shooting % luck. James & Jonas argued the Leafs might have TOO MANY OPTIONS at forward!?!? Crazy stuff.
January 28, 2026 at 11:44 AM
But also you’ve got to believe in the parts! They’ve got a lot of solid players, and the young guys are improving every game.
January 26, 2026 at 2:41 AM
I’ve seen 5 of the 10, and even though a few of my favourites from 2026 didn’t make the cut, I will say there’s a lot of good stuff nominated that is well worth people’s time!
January 22, 2026 at 3:26 PM
This looks very cool! I still have a few big ones to see, is it spoiler heavy? Might revisit it a little closer to Oscar time.
January 21, 2026 at 11:49 AM
The Spy and the Traitor by Ben Macintyre is incredible, but based on this list you might have already read it.

Can’t go wrong with anything by David Grann or Patrick Radden Keefe.
January 20, 2026 at 7:17 PM
One more, and I realize it would make getting under the tax trickier but…

Toronto Receives
Rob Dillingham

Minnesota Receives
Ochai Agbaji
2 2nd round picks

Logic being Minny gets a more reliable 8/9th man for their rotation, Toronto gets a redraft candidate.
January 20, 2026 at 5:01 PM
Don’t think the Raptors should take a big swing, but if they do…

Toronto Receives
Trey Murphy III
Yves Missi
Jordan Hawkins

New Orleans Receives
RJ Barrett
Gradey Dick
Top 8 protected 1sts in 2026 and 2028
2 2nd round picks (one in 2026 and 2027)
