Some really awful defending tonight which will always get punished by a top team. A few good bits apart from them (more good bits than there were on Sunday). Fulham on Saturday feels very big.

Richarlison wins a header at the far post, Gray keeps it alive, Kolo Muani volleys in the third ball. The big man/big man combo strikes again!

I'm talking about Salomon Rondon/Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Chris Wood/Sam Vokes. Connor Wickham/Christian Benteke. Mitrovic/Vinicius. The GOAT combo: Steve Morison/Grant Holt. Football can still be this good.

There's something profoundly satisfying about a goal where the penultimate and final touch are both headers. Playing two big men together up front is the highest form of the game.

Spurs' pressing has been pretty good so far. Technical execution with the ball in the final third pretty bad, but it's a start.

It's obviously more of a 4-2-2-2 ('4-box-2'?), they're trying to press high and be energetic. I think I would have had Goodison Park in January flashbacks if it had been Gray in a back three.

You can’t have a back five plus Bentinha in front of them and let Eze shoot from the edge of the box.

Looks (on tv) as one-sided as the first half when Arsenal won 3-1 under Nuno in September 2021.

Another shotless first half for Spurs and 2-0 down. Even if you think this plan is good, it’s failing.
