UK: 29th of 30 countries for e-bikes 📉

Norway (NORWAY!): 17x more than us 📈

We can salary sacrifice £150k Porsches but not £4k bikes?

Bike industry at 1970s sales levels. Tomorrow's budget could finish us off.

The issue is that there are excellent electric cargo bikes out there like this one (which is £3,500) which are helping transform people's lives, and many working families are buying them with this scheme.

However the sector is already really struggling, and this move will pretty much kill it off.

According to the FT, Rachel Reeves wants to cap the cycle to work scheme. This is lunacy, and represents a curb on what is effectively the UK's only active travel incentive.

This news is so dispiriting. Plenty of e-bikes around the £4,000 mark are absolutely not luxury items, such as this Tern. We should be expanding cycle to work. Especially when it seems the “drive to work” salary sacrifice scheme for cars will be untouched. www.cyclingweekly.com/news/taxpaye...

👏🏻 Zack 👏🏻 Polanski 👏🏻 hasn't 👏🏻 changed 👏🏻 anything 👏🏻 about 👏🏻 what 👏🏻 the 👏🏻 Green 👏🏻 Party 👏🏻 stands 👏🏻 for 👏🏻

What he is doing is communicating our party policy more effectively than any of his predecessors.

Very confused by these kinds of responses, especially given that one of the main groups who support a wealth tax are other millionaires and billionaires…

An LMGFY for those who still haven’t got it. Green politics – and by extension the Green Party – has never been simply about the environment.

If you’re a journalist saying that we’ve “moved away from only talking about the environment”, you’re only demonstrating your own ignorance.

So… Bezos cares so much about personal liberties he’s going to force the journalists he employs to write in support of them every day?

Isn’t that… never mind. 🙄

I’m having an experience with Evri so dire it’s comical now. I’ve been waiting for a parcel for over three months. It has spent most of the time in a depot somewhere being ignored.

They finally made one attempt to deliver it nearly two weeks ago then promptly gave up. So I click to “get help”…

Tell me again when we’ll start feeling the benefits of this Labour government.

I’ve always disregarded the “red Tories” thing as being silly hyperbole…
