I actually find this the most shocking stat of all, that seemingly less grants than ever are being funded just because research is more expensive.

Good point, I mean we know that’s true right?! Maybe the reduced coverage we see of these elements we always see in sequencing data is actually due to splicing, not structure like we have always assumed ….

No problems. I always enjoy a conference recap from those I’ve missed too! Most of the talks will be available to stream for a limited time too if you’ve got regrets (and can afford it!)
