Sebastian Schiavone defended his dissertation ”Sworn Swords and Unreliable Thieves” with eloquence and expertise. Supervising the defense was Prof. Kimmo Katajala and Prof. Emeritus Nils Erik Villstrand acted as the opponent. Congratulations!

Our chapter ”Spanish Officers in the Far North. The Military Careers of Alfonso Cacho y Canuto and Don Rodrigo de Córdoba y Guzmán in Early Seventeenth-Century Sweden”, co-authored with A. Jorge Aguilera-López, is now out! The chapter is part of a volume exploring Spanish-Swedish interactions.
