👍. Nearly wreaked a not that old Makita 18v battery with a simple worksite light by leaving it on until it went out. Just got away with it and avoided having to try ‘jump starting’ it.

I recommend trying not to run the battery flat. Chainsaw is high power and can drain it beyond the limit for it to recharge. Even new battery can be toasted in this way, although some now have extra protection.

It’s unfortunate that such infrastructure tends to be done piecemeal rather than to a grand plan but that seems to be the political and economic reality. The Dutch spent decades perfecting design but every country seems to feel they have to reinvent the wheel before ending up with Dutch design.

Consideration for others is the key, not whatever laws are in place to control car drivers and their far more dangerous vehicles. There is also confirmation bias to consider whilst adapting to new ways. I say this as context not excuse.

It’s a good one. On offer at Morrisons right now.

To be clear. I’m on a delayed train to London. I’d much rather it ran on time than had a flag draped all over it. Just don’t feel that worked up by a relaunched national railway having new livery, although I do get the concerns.

I just went off what Google said and not invested enough to fact check at the time. It probably meant having a flag somewhere on the carriage rather than full livery.

I’m very much NOT a flagshagger but kind of disagree with you on this. A national rail service would be where I’d expect a flag. Germany, Italy and NL do it for example.
