Fashion is the art we wear, and journalism is the art of communicating how we as citizens live - this fundraiser brings both of those things together. I also extend my appreciation to all who came out to support – everyone who cares about local art is precious. Thank you!

I would like to thank the designers, organizers, and participants in the fundraiser. Local artists and industry are supported by on-the-ground work of local journalists, who care about the art and creativity happening in their home communities.

We continue our work to end gender-based violence and support survivors. For those who have been harmed by violence and for the families of those who have been murdered or harmed, we will not forget you, we will not abandon you, and we will not stop until there is justice, safety and healing for all

It was wonderful to join with friends and colleagues to mark the occasion and celebrate Korean heritage this week at the legislature.

From music, to dance, to history, and, Dave’s favourite, incredible cuisine; a big thank you to all those who came to share in the richness of Korean culture.

And beginning January 1, 2026, couples where one partner is receiving disability assistance, will also benefit from an increased annual earnings exemption, allowing them to keep more of the money they earn.

I am grateful to the self-advocates who led the call for this change.

To help people feel safe, welcome, and included, we are changing the spousal rule. Starting December 1, 2025, all couples receiving disability assistance will receive the same support allowance as they would if they were two single people.
