When I would work in Photoshop I could use the lasso tool, but I’ve been working in Procreate mostly for a long while now. So sometimes I use the lasso, but often I just draw the major shapes in a base color, fill them in, and then use clip layers to paint & texture inside those, and work back to front, then do any linework it may have on a layer in front of the others. Aside from that it’s just a matter of keeping in mind of how to keep things separate enough that they’re visually distinguishable, and don’t just get lost in each other, in a way retaining some silhouette.”

When I was doing the original drawing, I was inspired by another artists work I love to try something different with the linework & the end result feels very Ed Edd & Eddy to me! (Tho the pose is very Ren & Stimpy)
