someone on inaturalist pointed out that the orange and black bill is a trait of female mallards, meaning this is probably an intersex mallard

Here's one of the parents. There were two sets of adults, both with their own group of goslings hanging out right next to the trail. I was able to get pretty close (~6 or so ft. away) which let me get some pretty good pics with my 70-300mm lens.
