and when they couldn’t do anything with it anymore tried to sell it to foreign countries like Iran, Russia and China, privatizing it in Venezuelan hands sounds like the better option…

Well, when the government has run the existing oil industry to the ground, took all the money from it when it was profitable to enrich themselves instead of reinvesting in the country and ensuring basic services for the people…
