Yeah, and you don't need to be lol. Premium memberships only affect the matrix.org home server, claiming it's going to be an issue in the protocol is a bit of a stretch. I don't exactly like it, but it's their service, they have the legal and moral right to establish their own conditions.

If you don't like how matrix.org is being managed then just don't use matrix.org lol, it doesn't mean anything for the protocol itself.
