I've talked to my kid about this. She's never been very social but the pandemic made it worse. She graduated in March 2020 & left Ellensburg where she went to school, leaving all her college friends behind. Had a hard time finding a job, making new connections. It's hard to re-engage I think.

I have lights up on my balcony with a sensor thingy that's set to turn them on 'from dusk through dark' and they came on at 1:15pm today. It was freakin dark all day today. Blech.

It does, and it sucks so bad. My father passed away in Sept. w/dementia, very advanced the last 2 years. It's so difficult for everyone involved. I highly recommend alzheimers dot gov for help and tips on communicating, it helped me get past some stuff & keep conversations from going sideways.

Do you have eggs to make a breakfast for dinner thing? Like a veggie scramble - eggs w/spinach, peppers, zucchini, etc. and some cheese. Or maybe balsamic chicken? It's really easy. I usually saute some peppers & cherry tomatoes or just a tomato cut in chunks to go with it.

I had fast food today too - Taco Time. The food was per usual but the person at the drive thru made my day. Cheery & chatty, it was a very delightful 5 minutes waiting for my food. BTW, I just saw Jon Green's post about the weather there, I hope you have some food in the house!

IDK, a lot of it just feels like too many words. I need games to breathe a bit. I find Brady annoying, Olsen needs to take a breath, but Romo doesn't bug me. And there's always the mute button. Nonstop blather is way more annoying to me in baseball than other sports. I'm talking to you Smoltz. 😄

A friend of mine from Swindon who lives here now ordered some jerseys from his hometown team about 6 wks ago & he thought he would have to pay something extra but didn't.

This is the second good review I've seen for Sunflare, there was some talk about it on Reddit a month or so ago as folks were debating Cosmic Crisp v Honeycrisp v Envy. As an apple connoisseur I'm looking forward to trying it.

I recently had a consult w/a dietician and one of the things she gave me was a recipe for baked oatmeal that is really good. You can cut it into pieces like a cake & freeze them then haul one out for breakfast any time. I put apples & cinnamon in mine but you can do peaches, berries, etc. So handy.
