Haha well of course a prudent view - factually correct as that’s the points from our last 46 Championship games - “a rolling season” if you will.

If that allows us to avoid being 2-3 injuries (or losses of player form) away from crisis in the second half of the season I make a prediction. We WILL be promoted to the Premier League this season.

The upcoming away games against Portsmouth, Wrexham & Stoke before the next International
Break will collectively indicate our progress and potential providing King with the signal to invest in the midseason window and judiciously bolster our small squad.

But let’s be optimistic and look up:- how to stay in the top 2.

Very clearly, retaining an automatic promotion berth will therefore stand or fall not only on maintaining home form but even more critically on away results.

I think this is a modest and prudent forecast of how we could better last season. To miss the top 6 even now would demand a calamatous win drought and very dark times at the CBS.

3. We took 4 points from the top 3 last season, likely we should expect better this year, let’s say we get an additional ≈2 points, maybe 2 draws from the 4 losses suffered last year when playing the top 3.

So, +1+7+2= 10 points better than last year, plus we retain our GD advantage.

2. It’s already difficult to imagine us losing 6 games at home like last season so stack another ≈7 points on that home record.

But don’t get me wrong, you can see the difference between seasons with your own eyes, there is much to be encouraged by, and clearly you can see where we can pick up additional points in the coming months.

1. Add another point for our ludicrous goal difference advantage.

It appears the fixture makeup has been kind to us this season so far. For all our efforts, in terms of W/D/L we are still just the one point better off versus last season’s corresponding fixtures.

The red was vibrant. The green was punchy. The yellow was… fine. It tasted like a red pepper that had given up. Like it had once aspired to be something more, but settled for being the filler in a Tesco three-for-one pack.

And actual vitamin C tablets, which don’t require slicing and don’t go limp in the fridge drawer after three days.

I even tried a blind taste test. I chopped up red, green, and yellow peppers and ate them with my eyes closed, like some sort of sad, solitary MasterChef contestant.

I did some research, which is to say I Googled “are yellow peppers good?” and clicked on the first link that didn’t look like it was written by a bot. Apparently, they’re high in vitamin C. Which is nice, I suppose, if you’re into that sort of thing. But so are red peppers. And oranges.

If you put one in a salad, it’ll smile politely and not draw attention to itself. Put it in a stir-fry and it’ll wave meekly from behind the soy sauce. Roast it, and it’ll quietly collapse into a puddle of sweetness, hoping someone notices.

I tried to mount a defence. “They’re versatile!” I cried, to no one in particular. But even I didn’t believe it. They’re not versatile. They’re just agreeable. They don’t offend, but they don’t excite either. They’re the Switzerland of vegetables.

Possible interpretation: This dream might be tapping into a situation where you feel someone (or something) close to you is behaving unpredictably or causing chaos in a space where you want calm and control.

The scale of it - “rivers and lakes” suggests overwhelming feelings, maybe frustration or helplessness, especially if it felt upsetting and realistic.
