We ain’t got it! Offering 20% off when I live in a state with 9.something % sales tax isn’t really a deal. I’m good.

I think it’s everybody. Cyber Monday has become Cyber Week and Black Friday started in the middle of November.

10. I smell a grift. What Diddy was doing to his artists seems worse than a 360. He pulled money from them all kinds of ways. Everything was to enrich himself … and his mama

9. This is also not the first time I’ve heard that Aubrey was kicked out the group because she didn’t want Diddy. That was the hot gossip on the blogs back then. Actually it was insinuated that they were an item and then broke up.

8. What’s on the cutting room floor from Day26? There used to be a lot of rumors on the blogs and Lipstick Alley about what was going on behind the scenes about them.

Well … did he? 🤣

Over correcting on AAVE. We don’t say Fif-ty. The f is soft, and to them it sounds like fiddy

7. So, who actual owned Bad Boy? That was some dirty dealings to but it IN HIS MAMA’S name, so that the families and victims of the stampede couldn’t seize his assets. I wonder if he was advised to do that, or if he figured this out on his own.

6. K-Ci has spoken about their time with Puff elsewhere. But, to be clear Jodeci showed up at Uptown with their look set and the first album mostly done, thanks to DeVante. He referred to him as their “babysitter.” He did help develop their remixes as told in the documentary.

5. What’s on the cutting room floor from Al B. Sure’s interview? Another surprise was all the time spent on Erick Sermon and Misa, compared to Al B. Sure and Kim. There’s a lot of rumors, but he’s the only one left to tell us the firsthand accounts.

4. Uptown Records was a story of substance abuse, domestic violence, and death. Telling those stories would have detracted from the main plot, but he was birthed from a record label filled with dysfunctional people and crazy situations.

3. I had no idea Kirk Burrowes existed. Which was crazy to me since my music listening history literally starts with Uptown and Deathrow records. I’m glad he was given his time to tell his version of the story.

2. I was surprised they skipped over his brief stint at HU. Then again, you needed someone willing to go on camera about him allegedly beating up a girl in front of the booty wall. Fo to show what people are willing to post on IG, but not willing to be interviewed about.

I’ve printed out a checklist to guide what I want to talk about and why I’m asking for the referrals I’m asking for.
