Made popovers for the first time using a muffin pan. Excellent with jam! They didn’t “pop” as much as I thought they would. But super easy to make (made it without using a blender) and would do it again. Might try other recipes to tweak it a bit.

For the second time in 1.25 months, our rinnai tankless water heater has failed. The error code we get is 71. The device itself is only 2 years old. Having no hot water is no fun, during winter is even worse.

I’m sad Facebook is going away with the desktop app of their messenger platform. I extensively use that over the browser. In fact, I’m never logged onto the browser.

Our friends gave us 10 lbs of beautiful lemons from their backyard tree. I made some lemon ice cubes. I’m going to make lemon curd to go with scones as well. What else should I make?

A 6-month DIY project of installing pavers in between our new home addition and the garage comes to a finish last weekend. Still a few more minor things to add but good timing before the rainy season.

I dropped by ballot off yesterday. I voted #YesOn50. I understand this is a slippery slope but currently the typical rules are no longer being followed. So we need to do something now.

Finally got some garden time. I’m working on transitioning my crops from summer to cool weather. Plus, reset and refresh the beds. I’m concerned there’s tree root invasion and how much extra work and time it is going to take to investigate and fix.
