I think it's actually factory colour, "Byte Blue", that was never offered in NA. There's also a dark metallic blue/purple called "Biophilic Blue Pearl" that's really cool that we never got.

It's a price thing. They don't care about the safety. I am convinced they only are bothered that performance is available to more people now. (And many people don't even make use of the full potential of it).
